All students of the college shall be members of the Union.
The objective of college union shall be

  • 1) To train the students of the college in the duties and rights of citizenship
  • 2) To promote opportunities for the development of character, leadership efficiency, knowledge and spirit of service among students,
  • 3) To organize debates, seminars, and such other activities,
  • 4) To promote opportunities for students to organize sports, arts and other cultural activities.

The college union elections will be conducted as per the decision of the College Managing Committee.



Well functioning two units, No. 22 and 181, of National Service Scheme in the college is concentrating on the development of readiness to service and social commitment among its volunteers. The units conduct programmes on personality development, legal literacy, women empowerment, adulterants psychology, palliative care and other relevant areas in service to humanity. The units also conducted programmes on specific important days to create awareness among the student community. The units prove to be an inevitable part in all the every special occasions of the institution. The units render its services within the college and the adopted village through surveys, rallies, and different awareness programmes. They are dedicated to find out the problems of the inmates of adopted village and ensure remedies in a nascent way. NSS volunteers instigated a vegetable farm in the college premises with diversified crops which give them handful of joy and pleasure at the time of harvest. Annual special camps are much remembered by their services like constructing shelters to the needy, making sewages, play grounds, constructing pathways and roads and cleaning plastic and other needless from notable places. These activities shower relief to humankind and develop the personality of the volunteers.



It is an extension centre for learning languages with the help of modern technological aids which is established in 2004. The first phase of the project was realized with the establishment of a computer lab which is achieved under the MP LAD of Mr. Abdussamad Samadani MP in 2005. The second phase was the installation of ARAB SAT, having Satellite Connection to enrich the learning through multimedia accessing Arab and Gulf channels. Arabic Language and Literature mingled with English Communicative Language is the core area of the curricula of this college. As the third phase of this project the college planned to establish a well equipped language lab with the help of financial assistance from MP LAD scheme of Mr. P.V. Abdul Wahab. In the fourth phase a Smart Interactive Class Room is dreamed by the project.


To maintain continued association between the parents and teachers and to promote activities for the well being of the students a Parent Teacher Association is formed. The Association meets at intervals to discuss various problems relating to the general welfare of the students.


The purpose of the Association is to foster and perpetuate friendship, contact and co-operation among the old students through social networks, informal group meetings and through regional get together. The association seeks to further social, literary and cultural interests, physical and infrastructuraf development of the College by maintaining an active communication between the college and old students.


A career and counselling cell is functioning in the college. The center is a UGC supported scheme which offers career and course guidance services for students at all levels of education. It arranges special programmes for different groups of students with the technical and professional assistance of various organizations.


This is a recognized centre inaugurated by Shri. M.A. Baby, Honorable Minister for Education, Government of Kerala on 27th March 2010, for uplifting the minority students in learning process and make them capable for attaining the goal. It is fully supported by the UGC, New Delhi and covers subjects like English, Arabic Language and Literature, Classical Literature and Translation.


This is a recognized centre inaugurated by Shri. M.A. Baby, Honorable Minister for Education, Government of Kerala on 27th March 2010. It is a UGC supported scheme to provide coaching classes to minority students to make them to compete with the quick changing world and to make them achieve entry in services in Government, bank, insurance and public sector undertakings.


The Anti-Ragging Committee shall be headed by the Head of the institution and shall consist of representatives of faculty members, parents, students belonging to the fresher’s category as well as seniors and non-teaching staff. It shall consider the recommendations of the Surprise Inspection Squad and take appropriate decisions, including spelling out suitable punishments to those found guilty.


The Surprise Inspection Squad shall be nominated by the Head of the institution with such representation as considered necessary and shall consist of members belonging to the various sections of the campus community. The Squad will have vigil, oversight and patrolling functions. It shall be kept mobile, alert and active at all times and shall be empowered to inspect places of potential ragging and make surprise raids on hostels and other hot spots. The Squad shall investigate incidents of ragging and make recommendations to the Anti-Ragging Committee and shall work under the overall guidance of the said Committee.


Any disorderly conduct whether by words spoken or written or by an act which has the effect of teasing, treating or handling with rudeness any other student, indulging in rowdy or undisciplined activities which causes or is likely to cause annoyance, hardship or psychological harm or to raise fear or apprehension thereof in a fresher or a junior student or asking the students to do any act or perform something which such student will not in the ordinary course and which has the effect of causing or generating a sense of shame or embarrassment so as to adversely affect the physique or psyche of a fresher or a junior student will be treated as ragging. Ragging of any form is a non- bailable offence and requires criminal procedure. If any incident of ragging and/or of abetting ragging comes to the notice of the authority, severe action will be taken against such students.

Grievance Redress Forum is an appellate body to hear and decide on the matters related to academic, discipline, curricular and co-curricular activities which could not be settled at the Grievance Redress Cell formed at Class level.
The Grievance Redress Forum will consist of the following members:
1. Principal (Chairman) 2. Staff Adviser
3. Convener, Discipline Committee 4. Vice Principal
5. A member from the Staff Council nominated by the Principal
6. College Union Chairman (Student Representative)


A network resource centre is established with the assistance of UGC with an objective of creating awareness among staff and students about the use of computers in various activities. The centre have 7 Multimedia enabled computer systems with High-speed Broadband Internet Connection. The centre helps the staff and students in accessing multimedia materials in teaching and learning process.


An Ethics Committee has been constituted as per, the Govt. Order (RT) No. 346/05/H.Edn. dt. 01-03-2005 to moniter implementation of the decision banning mobile phones, cinematic dance and fashion show on the campus with the co-operation of the College PTA, Staff members, Students’ Union, Management Committee, NSS and local authorities.
